王沪宁表示，毛泽东同志《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》阐明了文艺为什么人的根本问题，深刻论述了文艺和人民群众、文艺和革命斗争、文艺和社会生活的关系，是一篇马克思主义的光辉文献。今天我们纪念《讲话》，就要坚持以马克思主义引领文艺前进方向，学深悟透习近平总书记关于文艺工作的重要论述，自觉用党的创新理论指导文艺创作生产。要坚持以人民为中心的创作导向，自觉深入生活、扎根人民，把最好的精神食粮奉献给人民。要坚持把握民族复兴的时代主题，热忱描绘新时代新征程的恢宏气象，更好鼓舞人民奋进新征程、建功新时代。要坚持扎根中华文化沃土，传承和弘扬中华优秀传统文化，发展民族民间文化艺术。要坚持聚力文艺精品创作生产，推出更多体现国家和民族思想水平、艺术水平、创造能力、综合实力的优秀作品。要加强党对文艺工作的领导，坚持团结和依靠广大文艺工作者，培养造就更多德艺双馨的文艺大家。
